Sensory Movement Breaks

Here are some movement breaks I’ve designed which have really gone down a storm in the schools I visit face-to-face.

There are three themed sensory movement breaks/circuits where your pupil(s) can make:

  • A journey through the jungle

  • A journey through space

  • A journey with dinosaurs

Each movement break has 20 activities of which 6 are alerting, 8 are organising and 6 are calming.

Each activity has a coloured border so you can see at a glance exactly what the effect of that activity is -  a red border for alerting activities, a green border for organising and a blue border for calming.

They are available as a download so you can print and laminate in any size you wish, I suggest A4 to make a path along the corridor, perhaps A5 to use as flashcards, or thumbnail size to put on a lanyard or keyring.

Each activity has a great picture illustrating the action with a clear description of what action is to be taken. So easy for both staff and pupils to follow.

Please note: this is a licence for one school only, please do not share with other schools. If you’d like to discuss a licence for your MAT please contact us.
